The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, August 21 reveals Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will decide to put their son first.
Also coming up, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will make it clear to Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) she and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) are happy together. Plus, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will ponder a new job opportunity.
Y&R spoilers tease Daniel and Lily will enjoy some breakfast. Heather will walk downstairs and see him kissing Lily. She’ll turn her back, as Lily leaves, then will make her way over to Daniel. He’ll say he’s sent her text messages and wanted to thank her for what she did for his mom. Then he’ll ask if she’s okay because she’s acting a little weird. Heather will say it’s hard for her to admit, but she’s been avoiding him.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Things Could Be Changing For Chance
Daniel will ask why and she’ll tell him because he’s got a lot going on and she didn’t want to distract him. He’ll tell her he has, but he hopes it’s not because of what he did to her in the past, he’s not that person anymore. Heather will say she knows that and she’s proud of him. Daniel will say it sounds like she’s sticking around. “Maybe for a little while, my firm is officially closed for three weeks,” she’ll reply. “I don’t feel any rush to get back to Portugal.”
But she’ll also say she didn’t want to tell him at first because she wasn’t sure how he’d feel. Daniel will say he thinks it’s fantastic. He’ll take her hand, just as Lily walks back into the restaurant. She’ll interrupt them and Daniel will say he’s late for a meeting. Then Lily will ask Heather if she’s heading back to Portugal but she’ll say she doesn’t see a reason to rush back. They’ll talk about Daniel and Lily will say she’s he’s moving forward with his life and he’s happy.
At the park, Sharon will meet up with Chance. “Things could be changing for me, in a very big way,” he’ll tell her. He’ll say the interim chief they put in charge, after Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) retired, didn’t work out. So, Paul recommended him. “Wow,” Sharon will reply. “Did you accept?” Chance will say it isn’t official yet. “Maybe this is a new path,” Sharon will tell him. “It’s still law enforcement, but with more control.”
Meanwhile, Adam, Chelsea and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will discuss what they’re going to do about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey). “What are we supposed to do, like just up and move?” Chelsea will ask. Billy will say they’ll figure it out. “Actually, we will figure it out, since he’s our son,” Adam will tell him. He’ll thank Billy for his concern but will say he and Chelsea will take it from here.

But Chelsea will say Connor and Billy spend a lot of time together and they’re close, so Billy has every right to be there. Then Chelsea will say maybe she should take Connor to spend time with her mother. “Chelsea, my son needs me and I need him,” Adam will say. “We’ll put him in a school that’s not Walnut Grove.” They’ll begin arguing and Connor will walk in. “Stop it!” he’ll tell his parents.
Connor will ask them to stop fighting about him but Chelsea will say they’re just trying to figure out what’s best for him. “Everyone at Walnut Grove knows about my mom having issues and my dad fighting with his family.” He’ll also say they know about he and Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) finding out they were brothers. “They talk about me like I’m some kind of freak.” Connor will say he looked up schools where Anita lives and found one for kids his age who have anxiety and depression. “Listen, Connor, this is a big move,” Adam will tell him. “Are you sure?” Connor will ask if they can at least look at the school.
Finally, Billy will take Connor for a walk and Adam and Chelsea will decide to check out the school. Chelsea will tell him she can make arrangements to work remotely. “It’s going to be a sacrifice for both of us, but that’s what we signed up for right?” she’ll say and Adam will agree. Then Connor will return and he’ll be thrilled when Chelsea says they’ll check out the school. Chelsea will break the news to Billy and he’ll tell her they’ll be okay. “Connor comes first,” he’ll say and they’ll kiss.
